This may sound like a “duh” statement, but fruits and vegetables are very important regarding a healthy diet. Fruits and vegetables have minerals, vitamins and fiber that are necessary for daily consumption. These things help us have the energy to get through our daily routine.
It is recommended that getting at least five servings per day is optimal and can be taken as snacks or even in juice form. Getting that intake of fruits and veggies can go a long way towards improving your overall quality of life.
Limit Your Salt and Sugar
Sugar and salt are definitely delicious but they can also be very bad for you if you use too much. Sugar especially can have a drastic effect on your weight and can lead to things like diabetes if not kept in check.
Salt also has an effect on high blood pressure and can increase your risk of cardiovascular disease. Limiting these tasty add-ons can go a long way towards improving your overall health and helping to limit dangerous diseases later on in life.
Staying hydrated is imperative. Adults need to drink at least a liter and a half per day, sometimes more if the temperatures are soaring high or they are physically active. It is okay to drink fruit juices, soft drinks, milk or tea but only from time to time as those have additives or sweeteners in them that can have a drastic effect on you if you use them continuously.
